 How to Use Cryptohopper

Step 1: Sign up on ProBit Global and Create an API

*New users will need to create an account on ProBit Global.

  1. Log in, click on ‘My Page’, and then click on ‘API Management’.

  1. Name your API key and click on ‘Create new key’.

  1. You will be prompted to enter a verification code sent to your registered email address to proceed with creating your API keys.  

  1. Once the verification process is completed, your API key will be generated.

  1. Save your ‘Client ID’ and ‘Client Secret Key’ as it will be required in later steps.

*Be sure to save your secret key in a safe place as it will only be shown once.

Step 2: Visit the Cryptohopper website

Go to the Cryptohopper website, create an account, and log in.

  1. Initiate the ‘Onboarding’ process.

  1. Enter your personal information.

  1. Select ProBit Global from the list of supported exchanges.


  1. Now connect your ProBit Global API to Cryptohopper using the previously generated API keys in your ProBit Global account.  To do this, first copy the IP addresses from Cryptohopper (shown in the RED box).

  1. Go back to API Management in your ProBit Global account and click ‘Edit’ on the API you wish to connect.  Click on ‘IP address restriction’ and enter the IP addresses that were copied from the Cryptohopper website, clicking confirm after each IP address is entered.  Copy the ‘Client ID’ and ‘Client’s Secret Key’ values (to be entered on the Cryptohopper website mentioned under point #4 (above).  Check the box at the bottom labeled ‘Withdrawal allowed’.  Click ‘Edit Complete’ to save.

  1. Check your email for the verification code, enter the code, and click ‘Submit’ to finalize the changes.

  1. Go back to the Cryptohopper website, enter the Client ID (from ProBit Global) in the ‘API Key’ text box, and the Client’s Secret Key (from ProBit Global) in the ‘API Secret’ Text box, and click ‘Connect to ProBit Global’.

  1. Once connected, select your bot type from the options available.


  1.  Configure your bot based on your desired strategy.

  1.  The Cryptohopper bot is ready to use!

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Why can’t I see my ProBit Global balance in Cryptohopper?

  • If your balance isn't visible, try the following:
  • Ensure your API keys are correctly entered.
  • Make sure that there are funds available in your account.
  • Check if API trading permissions are enabled.

How do I secure my ProBit Global API keys for Cryptohopper?

  • Keep your API keys confidential.
  • Enable IP whitelisting.
  • Never share your keys with third parties.
  • Regularly update or regenerate your keys every few months.
  • If your keys are compromised, regenerate them immediately.

Why am I experiencing trading errors despite a connected API key?

  • Check Cryptohopper’s troubleshooting tool in your Cryptohopper dashboard, visit their help center, or contact their support team.
